You don’t have it. I don’t have it. The freedom to Like what you like on SM (even here on S*BS74CK).
If you liked the right thing. The thing that was owned and approved by the best people around. The people who know what is best for everyone. Then you have a sticky like.
But if you liked the wrong thing…. “They” know that you shouldn’t like that. So when you like it, it doesn’t stick. Have you noticed?
Maybe you haven’t noticed. If it didn’t matter do you think they would do this?
So very often, I have liked someone’s post. This happens on X a lot. And as soon as I return to look at the post again. Which I started to do especially after I noticed this feature. I found out that every time I returned that my like was gone. Mostly on the really good posts.
I also had a really good post on Twitter during COVID. I posted a selfie and I said I did not take medicine under coersion and that I was not a QR code. But this was BAD!
Oh wait, I also said that I was formally woke, which was really embarrassing because I should have said formerly woke.
Anyways, I had posted this and it went pretty viral. I had 14000 likes. But soon enough the likes were not sticking. They were dropping off. It kept going down. And people told me that they had liked it before and that they noticed that their like was disappearing. I lost around a thousand likes and was down to 13000 likes when I deleted it. What was the point of keeping something that nobody was allowed to like?
Which is how I am starting to feel about this Substack!
Which is why I am starting to think I might need to use paywalls. Because money doesn’t disappear. And money can be used to fight legal battles against these Social Media corporations. So I just wanted to let you know, that despite how many times I told you that “it’s all free” it may not be free for much longer because something needs to stick. I hope you understand. If nobody pays, that will be when I will stop doing this because that will be a clear message to me that, nope it was not the sticky like issue, people really don’t like it.
quote One of these days, thought Winston with sudden deep conviction, Syme will be vaporized. He is too intelligent. He sees too clearly and speaks too plainly. The Party does not like such people. unquote 1984 George Orwell
One last thing before I go.
The reason why this is particularly important is because I see that there are a lot of “warriors” in the “health freedom movement” that are super popular. But I wanted to ask you, are they? How do you know that? I can see that they have sticky likes but that makes me wonder, if people are allowed to like their stuff is there some reason why. Just thought you might want to open your mind to that possibility. Because if you have sticky likes and people can like you, then your material is promoted to others. So it must be good, right!? People like it.
But is it good? I am not so sure about that because it had to pass a test first, first “they” had to like it.
Can you see what a joke this whole charade is?
The emperor is naked, this is what I am trying to tell you. Do you understand what I am telling you? When something shows up in your feed on: S - u - b - s - t - a - c - k, X, Facebook, YouTube, Rumble, whatever, it is not entirely about what you like, it is not an accident, it is actually no different from changing the channel on TV, it is programmed, it is about what “they” like. I already know “they” don’t like what I say. So maybe I should go away. Maybe I will just go away.
Please do not go away. What you say is a little bit “doom-y” but absolutely worth keeping an eye on. We must be ever vigilant to what those turd-gobblers are doing and/or willing to do.
Wow, I wasn't aware of sticky likes.
