Transfection! Not a Vaccine

It should be emphasized that this is not a vaccine and even calling it an injection slows our progress towards freedom

Sorry to bore you with another post that was inspired by my favourite show GigaohmBiological by JJ Couey, but I am still feeling that he has a lot of answers to questions. And the reason why he doesn’t get a lot of attention is probably because of the high levels of ADHD (or whatever you want to call it) that are very common among those on the internet.

What is transfection in simple words?

Transfection is a process by which foreign nucleic acids are delivered into a eukaryotic cell to modify the host cell's genetic makeup (Kim & Eberwine, 2010; Chow et al., 2016)

Transfection is the process of introducing nucleic acids into eukaryotic cells. Cells can be stably transfected for the integration of DNA into their genome, or transiently transfected for protein expression of temporary duration. Chemical, physical, and biological methods are used to transfect cells, enabling the study of gene function and expression within a cellular environment. Applications include gene therapy, generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), gene silencing by RNA interference (RNAi), and the production of therapeutic antibodies and proteins.
