So far this was my favourite episode of the Empower Hour with Tanya Gaw, founder of Action for Canada, where she interviews Matthew Trewhella, pastor and author of the book The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates. In this post I will highlight part of their conversation and I will follow up with more posts expanding on this subject on how we can actively and effectively confront the tyranny and evil that is in our lands.

I realized it is my duty to try to steer people towards solutions and ideas that I think are important. The resistance is so large that it is often difficult to find what we need to do next. I can’t say I know what is best. But I can try. So here I am trying to help you to find a way forward. If you are like me you will know that this journey is going to be long and arduous, and this will take a lot of effort on our part. I don’t want to mislead anyone. We are up against masters of deception.

Here is a small part of their conversation:

Matthew Trewhella: “The superior tyrant authority, always counts on the blithe compliance of the lesser authorities in order to get their evil down in the fabric of society. And it's when they don't have that blithe compliance of lesser authorities, they know they got a problem on their hands.

And understand how important it is for them to take a stand!

If they don't take a stand and interpose against their evil, the tyrant superior authority, has to convenience of building the next plank of their tyranny. But if they take a stand against the evil, what it does is it forces, the tyrant authority out of their lair and they have to show their fangs and reveal to men, the tyrants that they really are. Men more readily see them for the tyrants that they are. So we have to be willing to be bold, be brave, and also be willing to suffer, perhaps, you know, because that's part of the process when evil is in the land.”

Tanya Gaw: At the beginning of this, I knew instantly in 2020 that this was just a scheme.

Because I've been at this for eight years, and trying to ring the bell, and warn people, and Covid has been a gift in many ways, because all of this tyranny, and all our biggest problems were pre-Covid, where they were changing legislation, they were weakening our borders and our laws. And so they just sort of catapulted communism into Canada because all of a sudden they could claim that we had this false pandemic and then wouldn't you know, that shut your businesses down, many people and youth ended up relying on the government, and that's just a great way to start a socialist state.

So, at the very beginning March 2020. I wrote a report called Government Corruption Coluding with a Foreign Syndicate? And in April, I launched it so that people could understand who Trudeau was aligning with, who the W H O was, and the W E F, and the use of hydroxychloroquine and the corruption behind it, and what was to come.

And sometimes I go back and read that report and I'm like, holy smokes Lord, it was like dead right on. But when I launched it, and this is, this is where you have to have a backbone and courage, is that when I launched it, I had a list of about 55,000 people on my email list at the time and a number of them said, I hope you get Covid and die.

I hope you and your family get Covid.

“How dare you, you know we're in a national emergency here.”

And inside I thought, in time, unfortunately it may take a year, it may take longer, they're going to see that, I'm right so we just need to hold the course and I compare it to that light house on shore is a beacon of hope to those who are in trouble at sea.

we just have to continue to proclaim the truth. No matter what that cost is in the immediate moment, it will benefit so many more in the long run.

Matthew Trewhella: When Trump announced national emergency here, of course it took everybody, stunned everyone. And so I'm a churchman a pastor, and I spent that week reading about epidemiology virology, things I have no interest in, this was before big tech had censored a lot of men, men who devoted their whole lives to these matters, and were debunking the whole narrative right at the beginning. And so, I preached my first sermon just nine days after the emergency was declared, debunking what they were saying about Covid 19 and about the narrative that they were painting.

I experienced the same thing you're talking about. I had other churchmen publicly demand that I repent on for my actions, saying that I hate elderly people. Some of the things that were said on social media on my posts, I actually deleted because I thought

wow! you talk about over the top and I know they're gonna regret this.

Like you just said as the truth comes out a year from now or two years from now. So I'm actually doing them a favor, removing that, most of my stuff I left there but some of it was just so crazy. You're just like, wow, that's insane. So I agree with you, it’s massively important to take a stand.

I told my fellow churchman, I said, this is a great opportunity for us to show fealty to Christ, because they were all telling everybody, you know, the way we show love to people is by putting on our masks, getting our tests, getting those shots and I said, no, that isn't how we show love to people.

Christians don't show love to people by spreading lies. It's a violation of the ninth Commandment, "you shall not bear false witness," Exodus 23:1 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.” 1 Corinthians 13 “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.”

So we're not showing love to people when we are acknowledging or giving legitimacy to a lie. We show love to people by telling them the truth. And so it was extremely important to show from the word of God that what the churchmen was saying was wrong. I told the churchman, I said we have very little lose as churchmen and as churches.

These businessmen, they have so many regulations bureaucracy and laws. They got them by the throat. I said, we can be a benefit to these men by declaring the truth, by taking the brunt of whatever the state wants to dish out, and it's going to cause people to want to have an interest in the things of Christ and Christianity…Over ninety five percent of the churches here closed their doors. Yes. And I could tell you a hundred sad stories about that. Our Church remained open. We went from about 140 people, up to 330 people because people just wanted to be able to gather and worship together, without all that insanity. And get this, here in America, not only did the churchman play the traitor, and shut their doors for months and months and months. But then they played the whore and they took money from the federal government, over 12 billion dollars. So they were actually rewarded by the tyrant for teaching Christian people to mask up, get tested, get those shots.

There were all kinds of churchmen on on Facebook and social media bragging about the shot they got, and telling people they should get. And then the vast majority of them wouldn't say anything, one way or the other, showing no leadership at all to the people in their congregation. I did a sermon on masking over a hundred thousand views.

I did a sermon called the shot the tyranny, man. It was taken off by YouTube. You know, how those guys are, but we found it on over a hundred thousand views on other platforms.
